Instant Payment – Il bonifico arriva in 10 secondi!
Il 21 novembre 2017 ha preso ufficialmente il via in 34 Paesi SEPA il sistema SCT Inst Scheme promosso dall’EPC (European Payment Council).
INSTANT PAYMENT: DI COSA SI TRATTA?
SCT Inst è una soluzione di bonifico istantaneo, comunemente definita Instant Payment, che permette di trasferire fondi da conto corrente a conto corrente in meno di 10 secondi tra i correntisti di tutta l’area SEPA. I servizi basati su questo schema, inoltre, saranno disponibili 24 ore su 24, 365 giorni all’anno. Velocità e disponibilità determinano, di fatto, una rivoluzione rispetto all’esperienza che eravamo abituati a vivere inviando o attendendo un bonifico fino ad ora.
I BONIFICI INSTANTANEI SOSTITUIRANNO TOTALMENTE I BONIFICI TRADIZIONALI?
I bonifici istantanei, almeno per il momento, potranno solo affiancare quelli tradizionali. In primis, l’adesione al nuovo schema è facoltativa: le single banche e, più in generale, i singoli Payment Service Provider potranno decidere liberamente se aderire e offrire il servizio ai propri utenti e ai propri merchant, oppure se continuare a gestire solo bonifici tradizionali.
Inoltre, almeno inizialmente, il limite massimo di fondi trasferibili tramite un bonifico istantaneo sarà di 15.000 euro (il limite potrebbe essere successivamente alzato per un accordo bilaterale tra i partecipanti allo schema). Per gli importi superiori, continueranno a essere utilizzabili i bonifici tradizionali.
QUALI SONO I CASI D’USO DEI BONIFICI INSTANTANEI?
Sono numerosi i casi d’uso in cui i bonifici istantanei potrebbero essere utilizzati e portare dei benefici, soprattutto per il cliente della banca. In alcuni casi, potranno semplicemente velocizzare o migliorare l’esperienza degli utenti, in altri potrebbero invece rivoluzionare alcune forme di pagamento storiche.
Seppur gli ambiti applicativi che potrebbero trovare giovamento siano numerosi, quelli da monitorare con maggior attenzione rimangono quelli più frequenti: i pagamenti quotidiani. Se il mondo bancario deciderà di spingere forte su questo strumento, proponendo una tariffazione competitiva e un servizio di alto livello, allora gli SCT Instant potrebbero davvero diventare un valido concorrente del contante e delle carte di pagamento anche per piccoli importi. Allora sì che sarà rivoluzione.
I COSTI?
L’innovazione e la comodità hanno comunque un prezzo. Il costo medio del bonifico istantaneo per chi ha un conto corrente con è di 2,50 euro (rispetto ai 2,25 richiesti per i bonifici ordinari online.
